Jennie riding Nellie.
And Josie riding Nellie.
They love her. You should see their eyes soften when they look at her. They literally wrap their arms around her and put their heads on her neck.
It's very sweet.
And all the black hair on their clothes is so disturbing.

Curly Heads
Getting to Work
Double Rainbow
Little Dance Divas
Friday June 20, 2008
All week, Grace and Faith attended Diva Dance Camp in Waukee, and they had the best time ever. On Friday, they had a recital and it was quite possibly the best time of my life. Grace is amazing. I mean, she is really, really good.
And to put it into perspective, Little Faith is four years old. The rest of the girls are 7 or 8. AND she has a broken arm. And she was great. That's my angel on the top.
Grace, instructor Ben and Faith
LOL - just lol.

And a Few of My Own
June 15, 2008
The idea creator . . . I asked Grace how it went from, "Mom, can we walk down to the creek?" And ended in full-body submersion. "Well, Mom," she said. "It's my fault. I couldn't help it."
Fair enough.
Although not completely innocent, I did feel really bad for Faith, who couldn't fully participate due to her cast. She stood down there for hours, watching the other three have the time of their lives. I said they have to do it again in a couple of weeks, so Faith can have more fun.
A really good sport.

Getting So Big . . . They Love A Good Campfire
Holy Cow
Josh is almost 6, Emma just turned 8, Grace is 7, and Faith is 4.
Shane and Faith, Matt and Josie.
Faith and Josh were really into watching the cows milk.
Josie loved the calves. They adore all animals. I think Jo Jo will be a vet. Or a professional singer. But that's another story . . .
Now that the twins are on 100% whole milk, it was time to show them where it comes from. We don't want these kids growing up all city or anything.
The dairy is in Atlantic - Milk Unlimited. They had an open house, and the kids all had a great time.

Some Things You Just Have to Get Out of Your System
Horns are Back!
June 12, 2008Minutes after she got her cast on, she was throwing horns. The world is how it should be.
The big discussion up until the moment on truth was about what color cast she would pick. Green. Purple. Not pink, she said. Grace had pink. Moments before the doctor walked in, Shane said that he thought red was cool. Doctor asked what color she wanted . . ."Red."
The child owns no red. Shane, hello, there are outfits to consider . . .
Red it is.

The First Birthday Party . . . June 7, 2008
After all day, with just a little nap on Eddie, the twins both fell asleep just as people were starting to arrive. This is little Josie on floor.
And Jennifer fell asleep on Richard's shoulder.
Justin ran the bar for us, and whipped up some killer cosmos.
Jane, Mom and Faith hanging out in the kitchen.

Early Party Prep
Eddie said this was the best part of his day, and I thought that was really sweet.
Jennifer on her rocking chair. It has been banned for several weeks due to misuse. They got to play with it because, well, it was their birthday and all. But it is banned again.
Josie and Eddie, after the taking out the pony holders, and before putting them back in.
