Crazy with excitement, I went to pick the pictures up Monday night, and much to my dismay, they informed me the machine was broken, but I can get them on Thursday . . . . What???!!!! Ugh. I said that was totally unacceptable. "Fine," they said. "Wednesday night." Feeling like I really put the smack down, I said, "Fine."
So I haven't even updated the blog yet with pictures from the party, because I wanted to have them all in one spot. But I am giving up on that idea. So I'll post some now. And more later. Watch out y'all. I've got a few million.
But Ingrid . . . I can't tell you how excited I am to see them. Thank you again, for taking them all.

10 Year Anniversary
We had intentions of at least acknowledging the 10-year mark, but with surgery the day before, and the big first birthday party the day after, we sort of "cancelled" it. When the twins were born, Shane said, "Well, no more anniversaries for us."
I can honestly say, 10 years ago, I had no idea I would be taking a picture of the twins, standing on a case of beer, looking out the window of our dream home on the farm - watching their other two sisters play in the dirt outside.
What a journey it's been . . .

The Saga of the Broken Arm
No more playground equipment. Seriously, I'm done with it. The twins will never get to meet a monkey bar. It's for their own good.
In what felt like deja vu, Faith had some bad luck. In fact, it was very similar to Grace's experience, only with a different break.
Broke it on Tuesday, specialist on Wednesday and surgery on Thursday. She had two pins put in it.
The pediatric orthopedic walked in and asked me if we had met before. "Why yes, you put three pins in my other daughter . . ."
So she gets her cast put on Thursday, June 12. She'll have it for two weeks. Good news is that she'll have some summer left.
My kids are tough. They really are.

A Trip Out of the House
A Trip Out of the House
Yes, they are mine. Yes, I actually gave birth to them. Yes, they all have the same father.
Yes, they are identical.
7, 4 and almost a year.
No, there’s not a history of twins in my family. Really, they are identical.
No, they don’t have hair extensions.
Yes, I got big when I was pregnant.
Yes, I have my hands full. No, I really don’t have any free time.
Yes, I’ve mixed them up. More than once. But on the average, yes, I can tell them apart by looking at them.
It’s a birthmark. It will go away. Well if it doesn’t, it doesn’t really matter.
Yes, I’m glad they’re mine and not yours, too.
I’m glad to hear that your neighbor or cousin has twins. It’s nice that your aunt’s brother’s cousin’s niece has a friend that knows a woman with twins.
Thank you for your compliments, we truly feel blessed.
There’s no need to feel sorry for my husband because we don’t have boys; he’s quite happy with four healthy, beautiful little girls. Yes, we may have more children. No, we won’t be trying for a boy.
Yes, the teenage years will be crazy. Yes, I’m aware of the proms and the weddings. Yes, I know we don’t have enough bathrooms for four girls.
Double trouble? No way. Quadruple pleasure.
Have a nice day

Memorial Day Road Trips
Jessie, you can fill in the details, but it sounds like it was a good day for everybody. Ice cream . . . twice.
I'm not sure if you are supposed to let your kids sit on graves. I would probably guess not. But the top picture is their great, great grandparent's on their maternal side. So my mom's mom's parents, Nellie and Frank.
And the bottom is my sister Jennifer's grave. My Jennifer is trying to pick the flowers. Faith will have none that.
