Because We Needed It :)

The big girls and I spent a day hiking at Ledges near Boone. I can't even begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had together. I always enjoy their good humor and energy. The leaves were beautiful, if not a little past prime. We have been cheated out of our beautiful fall days, so made the most of this one.

Go Fly a Kite

Eddie lifted . . .Josie?? . . . up by her arms to get the kite to fly. Funny stuff.

Is it just me, or do their profiles look similar??

Faith in her happiest element.

The strings broke and the kite went off on it's own toward the house. Jennie tried to save it, but moments after this picture, the wind came up and blew her down :)

Faith in control.

Never fly a kite near trees or power lines.

My perspective on Eddie's skillz.

Ahhhhhh! Peeking Jennie.

Holy moly was Sunday windy. But who is surprised to learn that Eddie was prepared with a kite?? The freakin thing could have lifted the babies away if Eddie hadn't of been hanging on to them.

I Love My Grace

She and I were laying in bed Sunday night, talking about the weekend. She got to spend Saturday up at the ISU game with her best little girlfriend, Danielle. And she says to me . . .

"Yeah, trailer parking was really fun, " says Grace

"Trailer parking?" I asked "What's that?"

"Well, it's strange," she explained. "A whole bunch of people drive crappy campers into the parking lot, set up tables with food, and drink."

I laughed, and said, "Oh, Honey, you mean you were tailgating."

"Well, maybe, "Grace said. "But it sure seemed like we were trailer parking to me. . . . "

Church in Massena

And she still manages to suck her thumb.

We decided that if the twins took up collection, we'd be sure to rake in a profit.

We took some pics so Eddie's family can see the inside of the church where he and Jessie will be married.

Randoms from Sunday

Congrats to Jessie and Eddie!

A Sept. 4, 2010 wedding has been planned.

This is just a sampling of about 80 million pictures we took that day.
