Dirty Deeds

When I was about four months pregnant the ultrasound lady made me take my belly button ring out, and it was really sad for me. After all, Joni, Jessie and I had the best time ever that night we got it done. (Well, Joni and I . . .Jessie likes things to be dirtier than they were, so she opted out.) Anyway, Shane said that if I still had a stomach after the twins were born, I could just get it done again. Last night was the night. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.
Justin's first time in a tattoo parlor . . .but this picture was actually taken at the Cold Stone near by . . .
As Joni said . . .she's never missed one of my piercings yet . . . next time, it's gonna be my nose. And hers. And Justin's. Justin needs a stud in his nose.

More International Fare

Eddie's family sent Jessie a Christmas package in like November . . .after a trip around the world, it finally arrived at the end of January. His sisters and mother were kind enough to send the girls some candy, and Christmas cards. They had so much fun opening it all up, and realizing chocolate from Spain tastes like chocolate from the United States :) I saved their cards for their baby books. Eddie's sister drew pictures on them. So cool!

Glamour Shots

I came home and Grace had laid out an outfit for Jennie for her "photo shoot." Grace proceeded to strip Jennie down and dress her up in a gidup. Grace also took the photos. Jennie worked the camera like she owned it.

Falling Asleep at the Wheel

Josie fell asleep in her highchair, despite the best efforts of three sisters to keep her up.

International Awareness

Jennie and Jessie at Church in their Spain clothes.
Faith and Eddie.

Eddie came back from Spain with a sack full of clothes from Zara - which is a hip clothing store over there. And it really was incredibly sweet. It humbles me to know there are people a world away who are not only thinking about my children, but have included them into their lives. Eddie, for example, walked into that store, located the little girls' department and considered sizes of the four little Millsap girls back in Iowa. That's pretty cool.

That night, I got out the little dress Joni's host mother made for Faith when she was born. Again, simply priceless. In the girls' room, there are many little things indicate their international exposure - rosary beads from Rome, a statue of the Eiffel Tower, gowns from Afghanistan . . .

Sunday night, Grace got out her map and proceeded to point out every country I named. That was impressive. She's a smart girl. And she's got good people around her who are helping her learn that the world is bigger - and smaller - than we may realize at first.

Thank you, Eddie, for the beautiful clothes. That was really, really kind.

I Will Not Vote For Hillary . . .

But I still find her husband irresistible . . .

As Mom said it so perfectly, "I wonder if he's as hot as he thinks he is?"

Well, all I can say is that we were giddy, Mom and I. Giddy.

He really liked my hat. But as we all know, he kinda has a thing for hats.
