Wordless Wednesday . . . Because What Can I Say?

The Bad Kids Last Night

And notice if you will the pink halter dress Jennie is wearing. She told me she looks beautiful in it.

The Room

I downloaded the pictures off of Grace's camera today, and oh my, what an interesting assortment of images. However, there were these on there that might give you a taste of the new room. The picture of the bed and curtains is curtesty of Jennie.

10 on 2sday

10. We went to Keller's on Saturday night. Jennie yells to Chris as we are leaving, "Have a crappy day!" And Chris yells back, "Thanks! I already have!"

9. I picked the kids up at school on Friday, and as we were admiring the artwork hanging outside Faith's classroom, Grace very seriously says, "They really shouldn't have put the tails on those turtles." I have to go back and take a picture. I wish I would have thought to when I was there. Because you have to see this to appreciate it.

8. I found two pairs of my high heels in the the twins' school bag. I'm not sure if they were planning on sneaking them in to school, or what.

7. I was a cooking fool this weekend. Grace even got to make some cookies she has been wanting to try. She found a recipe in her American Girl magazine for cookies that just used a cake mix, 1/2 cup of shorting, and an egg. Guess how they turned out? Dry and crumbly, but she was sure happy.

6. I cleaned the twins' room Saturday, and became annoyed at the border that the little girls began peeling off when they were in cribs. So I started pulling it all off. It turned into a family project. Good bye little nursery. Hello big girls room.

5. So then I became annoyed at the two tones of brown.

4. So we went to Menard's. And Grace picked out the paint sample. It was called Ballet. But it should have been called "Just Kidding." Because when you look at it on the wall, you don't know if it's pink or a very light shade of lavender. But it's perfect.

3. Jennie kept walking in the room saying, "It's beautiful, Mom!" Faith kept saying how jealous she was.

2. This morning when Josie woke up, the first thing she said was, "I have to make my bed." I guess she likes it, too.

1. One thing turned into another this weekend. And it was fantastic.

Jennie's take on a Sucker

Mark and Missy gave Jennie a blue ring pop.

Oh, my goodness.

Show Tubing

I don't know what they were talking about, but they both seem humored :)

Josie warms herself up down by the heater.

How many can fit in the pickup?

Jo and Joe are excited!

Missy swore she was smiling. I don't believe it.

I know this is slightly ridiculous, but it makes me laugh. No hands!

Missy holding on for dear life.

Jennie and Grandpa were champs. Grandpa got cold.

Love!

10 on 2sday

The girls were so excited to play in the snow this morning. So they played while I scooped.

10. This morning Jennie kept telling me about a yellow thing out her window that scared her this morning. I guessed at everything it could possibly be. Finally, we were pulling up the daycare and she screamed and said, "That's what it was!" "You were scared of the sun?" "Oh," she said. "I didn't know it was the sun." Lol. Guess it's been awhile.

9. After much hoping, there have been no delays or cancellations of school or work. However, due to an accident on the interstate, it took me an hour and 10 minutes to get home last night. So Grace scooped the driveway while she waited. Did a good job. Then I worked on it for an hour after I got home. Mowing is easier. For sure.

8. Highlight of weekend, for sure, was ice skating. Simply adorable.

7. We've been making Shirley Temple's like crazy lately. Last night Grace asked me if I knew that Shirley was a real person. She said she'd read it somewhere. I said, yes, I'd heard that, too. Then she asked if I'd ever seen a Shirley Temple extended edition. "You mean, a movie with her in it?" I asked. "No, it's a drink with alcohol." I guess she'd read about that, too.

6. Missy straightened Faith's hair. I loved it. However, I think it made her look older. She's really growing up lately. Faith, I mean. Not Missy.

5. I took the bright blue nail polish with the overlay of glitter off my toe nails. It was chipping. But it made me sad. The girls did that on New Year's Eve. That was fun.

4. The babies just go to bed now without me having to lay with them. I read two books, tuck them in, and give them kisses. It took a week. But now it's no problem at all. Good little girls.

Jennie's New Love

So the girls (Josie and Jennie) started out using these cones. Jennifer, from the first step, had a huge smile on her face. She was all about the idea of being like her older sisters.

Josephine . . . well, she was a little more worried about her personal safety.

Now Jennifer moved onto the triangle "walkers." At this point it's so easy she just starts showing off and making fun of her sister.

Check the blades! Littlest skates I'd ever seen.

Gone is the cone. Gone is the walker. And Jennie skates solo for the very first time. She did a lot better learning to skate than she ever did learning to walk :)

Keep Going Back

I'm posting things under the tag of when they happened, so keep going back to see things. And I'm not even close to being caught up. So keep looking.

Gracie K

She has made me laugh every day since her birth.

10 on 2sday on a Wednesday

10. Part of my New Years resolution is to take a multi - vitamin daily and drink more water. So far so good.

9. Picture organization and preservation is also on the list. I backed up all my pictures to DVDs and I'm going to find a pretty box to keep them in. I used to print every picture I took before the onset of using digital photography. I think that transition took place when Faith was a baby, and I've hardly "printed" any pictures since. I've posted them. I've saved them. But no prints.

8. I signed Faith up for spring soccer. It starts in April. Stay tuned to this new adventure.

7. I am in need of new black boots for work. The pair I wear a lot to work are all torn up on the front. Ghetto.

6. Faith wore the tutu Joni got Jennie to school her first day back. She hasn't wanted to take it off. Faith said her teacher kept singing a song about her rockin' the tutu all day :)

5. At supper last night, Jennie was telling me about her new best friend, "Lala." She got very serious, raised her eyebrows and said, "LaLa has a tanned face. And a tanned body. She's tan all over." When I dropped the girls off this morning at school, I determined I can only assume she was telling me about the Nigerian named Ella.

4. Josie and Jennie are going to sleep in their own beds, without me laying there for hours. However, they don't like it one bit. I've felt like the super nanny for the last three nights, being all consistent and stuff.

3. Josie wouldn't get out of bed this morning. She said she would stay home by herself. I laid out her clothes, and she said she wanted to dress herself. I did Faith's hair, and Jo came down in heels.

2. I made soup last night, and Jennie walked into the kitchen and said, "It smells so good in here, Mom." Loved that.

1. I'm doing a 52 week photography project. The theme this week is "around the house." Gotta think of an idea . . .
